☂️Weekly Update: ☂️
🌼This week, I’ve been focused on updating the Nyapu portraits for the Stardew Kids Expansion. I’m almost done, with just one last character, Vanessa, needing her portraits done. Fingers crossed I can finish the update and CP code this weekend! I’m excited to post it soon.
🌷I also spent quite a bit of time working on my personal farmer portrait, and I’m really happy with how she turned out. It took some time to get the code right, especially since I wanted her to emotionally react to NPCs and have her outfit change with the seasons and festivals. Now it’s down to drawing the rest of her portraits and polishing her reactions to specific characters. If people are interested, I might even publish a mod that lets players customize it themselves!
🎨My art commission is going well, though we’re in the “detail-oriented” phase—choosing the right typeface for the title. I’m on the second round of examples with my client. It’s a bit of a back-and-forth process, but I’m enjoying it because I want to make sure he gets the best cover possible.
📖In reading, I finished three books this week:
- Savage Dominion – A fun LitRPG with an interesting world-building twist. It’s a solid power fantasy.
- The Book of Love – A weird, magical realism YA that defies easy categorization but has a cool magical system and great characters.
- American Buffalo – A nonfiction memoir about bison and hunting. Super fascinating! I learned so much about bison history that I didn’t know.
🎮Here are a few games I played this week:
- The Last Campfire (Finished) – A heartfelt and cute puzzle game.
- Brotato – A fun, Vampire Survivors-style game with its own unique spin.
- Death’s Door – It was okay, reminds me of a top-down Souls-like game.
- Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood – AMAZING. Designing your own tarot cards is so addictive!
- Genshin Impact– My world is now at level 40. I am working hard to upgrade my characters.
- Stardew Valley– I love this game. I have to limit myself to an hour a day.
- Deep Rock Galactic– It’s always fun to play this with my hubby. We almost died during one of our missions this week because of the “Ghost.”
I’m ahead of my goal of finishing 24 games this year, so I’m pretty happy with that progress.
📝On the writing front, I’ve started again! Nothing to share just yet, but I’ve been free-writing microfictions inspired by photos I’ve collected. I’m planning to expand on these and maybe add some sketches before sharing. Just trying to make writing fun again.
❤️🩹Health-wise, it’s been a decent week, but the weekend storm knocked me out a bit with my fibro. I had to rest for about a day, but I’m recovering well now.
Wishing everyone an amazing Easter, and I’ll see you next week!
