✨Weekly Update ✨
I wasn’t planning on updating this week, but since it’s a habit and I worked on some projects, I figured I’d post. This update is going to be a bit quick and not as detailed as my other ones. 😆
🧺SDV Mods: 🧺
Since I was on vacation, I just worked on whatever projects I wanted. I’ll get back to adding the portraits to Defense Division next week. I am cooperating with N3cro92 to update the portraits and sprites for Kids for School. I finished most of Ahmad and will probably do the boys first since I finished the base sprites. I am also working on my own foliage project. I love working on portraits, but I adore pretty foliage, too. Like my craving to have all my portraits have the same style, I want to do the same for the trees and plants in my game. But this is a secret side project of mine, and it will take a while.
I love Harvest Moon, and I’ve wanted to do Mineral Town for a while. There are so many portraits to do— I finished Gotz. I finally finished drawing up the portraits for all four seasons for my personal Farmer’s Portrait mod. I’ll be moving on to the festivals and probably post it for the SDV community to edit/ use. I started work on Jakk Quinn’s base. I plan to work on Coal Farm, Daulton, Downhill, Baldur’s Village, and Lacey soon. I want all the spring portraits in the Mega-Mod to look the same. So much work ahead. LOL.
🎮Games: 🎮
During this vacation, I played so many games. I was able to play both my Simple SDV Save and my Mega-Modded SDV File. When I wasn’t feeling well, I played American Truck Sim and enjoyed the Christmas content. My husband and I started and finished Ori this vacation— an amazing, beautiful game! Afterwards, we started playing Blasphemous…. Goodness, that game is DARK. When my hands aren’t working well enough to play an action game, we play FPS. Our side game has been Half-Life. I am glad I’ve been able to play this classic game, finally. On my own, I’ve been playing Slime Rancher 2 (super cute) and Expedition 33 (artistically stunning). LOL, I jump around my hobbies and games so much.
📖Reading: 📖
I got a lot of reading done this week. I am reaching the end of what is out for the Campfire Cooking series (16 vols). I really like it, it’s such a cozy read. I really need to find more cozy fantasy books. I am at the end of Mother of Learning Arc 3 and should be moving on to Arc 4 soon. I moved on to another RH book I’d read in the past, called Territory Walk. I liked the concept, but not the love interests. They are all jerks! Lastly, I’ve been chewing through Trading in the Zone. Honestly, this mindset has helped me mentally see things clearer and calmly. That’s it for what I’d been reading.

I had a great Christmas with my hubby and cat. We hung out, relaxed, and played video games all day. It was nice to take a week off to do whatever I wanted. I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season. I’ll be getting back to my normal schedule starting next week.
