🍂 Weekly Update! 🍂

🧺 SDV Mods 🧺

Maggs Emo Seasonal Sebastian: It’s done!! 🎉 I finally finished the Maggs Emo Seasonal Sebastian mod and the Content Patcher file, so now it’s easy to drop the mod in and play. Coding definitely kicked my butt a few times this week, but huge thanks to DolphinIsNotAFish for helping me out when I got stuck.

Farmer Portraits: I’ve got two portrait commissions going right now. Ones half-way finished (the base is done), and the other is still in the planning phase. I am looking forward to seeing how they both turn out.

Custom Book Cover: Wrapped up a book cover commission this week. Sadly, I can’t show it off just yet since the client wants to wait until after they publish to show it off. So you’ll have a couple of months until you can see it.

Original Characters: As promised, here are some of my OCs. The guy with the different outfits is Jameson, and the one in green is Razor. I really like how their designs are coming along.

🎮 Games 🎮
  • Stardew Valley: Barely had time for gaming this week, but I did squeeze in some co-op Stardew with a friend. We’re running a mega-modded save, and it’s Fall. So we spent the evening planting crops.
  • Shapez: This game is evil. I rage-quit trying to make the “Red Bull Rocket.” Got 75% correct right before it all collapsed. Ended up looking it up, and wow… combining shapes in that game is way too complicated for my brain sometimes.
  • Slime Rancher: Wanted something cozy to play in bed, so I picked up Slime Rancher again. It’s been years, and I still have no idea if it even has an ending, but it’s still adorable.
  • Dinkum: Been playing this with my hubby. He focuses on fishing and hunting, while I handle the farming and trapping. We unlocked the mines… they are super intense but so worth it. We got a ton of resources from it. This game is definitely one of my fav co-op games.
  • American Truck Sim: Played this while catching up on my book club novel. They had a Halloween event going on. I didn’t get to finish all the quests, but it was still fun.
đź“– Reading đź“–
  • Babel: Ugh, this book was not for me. I didn’t get into it at all. Mostly because I’m not a fan of historical fiction, and the themes didn’t line up with my own political and social views. I get what the author was going for, but it just didn’t land. Full review will be up on my Goodreads: goodreads.com/Ahcuteart
  • Heretical Fishing 4: Kinda meh. Probably my least favorite in the series so far. I’m not loving Maria’s slime, and there are so many familiars to keep track of. That said, I did enjoy the part where they designed their edgelord ship. Currently reading the Kraken/Earth Elemental fight.
  • Magus of the Library: Loved this one! Gorgeous art, great pacing, and I adore the themes. Protecting, reading, and sharing books? Yes, please. The scene where the Kafna repair the wild grimoire and save the library was awesome. I’m definitely continuing the series.
📝Writing 📝
  • Koriko: Things are moving along nicely. My witch has entered “Summer” in her journey. She’s been training, helping others, and uncovering secrets. I still love writing for this solo TTRPG journaling game.
  • CYOA – “The Offer”: I rewrote the beginning in 3rd person this week. Didn’t quite finish in time for my writing group, but I like this version way more. It’s got more emotion and detail than the first draft’s 2nd person POV. I am looking forward to the feedback I’ll get from it next week.
  • Micro Fiction: The prompt this week was “Nice… Pants.” I really struggled to come up with something for this one. I ended up writing a lighthearted sci-fi rom-com since the last couple of micros were dark and tragic. You can read my writings on my blog: AhCreativeHub.com
đź’– Life đź’–

This week’s been full of work. Then again, the end of the month is always a busy time for me. Between writing, meetings, book club, commissions, and reading, my schedule was packed. But hey, only two bedridden evenings this week, so I’ll take the win.

I’ve been doing morning cycling while watching Japanese walking ASMR videos. (It’s super relaxing.) Been keeping up with the news through Reuters. I’ve also dedicated myself to writing a few hours each day. It feels like I’m finally finding a good pace with my life, work, and projects.

For Halloween, my husband and I decided to chill and watch Happy Death Day. We both enjoyed it. The dark humor and horror are one of our favorite combinations.

If you made it to the end, thanks for sticking around and reading all this. Hope you all had an amazing Halloween and have a cozy start to November.
