🧺SDV Mods: 🧺

This week, I got a lot of modding done. I finally finished Aymeric and Lantana (Polysweet). I’m really happy with how Lantana’s portraits turned out. Both mods are coded and tested… so I’m hoping that everything works and there aren’t any surprise bugs. I also noticed Lantana didn’t have a winter outfit coded in Polyamory Sweet yet, so I went ahead and added that to my mod.

After finishing those two, I went straight to work on the Defense Division retextures since I’d already finished all the character bases. Because someone requested this, I made both a short-haired and medium-haired version of Edward. Honestly? I think they both look great. Hopefully, these options don’t come back to bite me when I get around to coding these portraits into Content Patcher. Ā I’m almost done with Edward, just a few more outfits before I move on to the girls.

Ā

I had a client ask if I could add an accessory to their farmer portrait. I was able to finish it pretty quickly.

šŸŽ®Game: šŸŽ®

  • American Truck Simulator: I picked up Arkansas when it was on sale (I couldn’t help myself). I’ve been taking my time exploring the state while slowly building up my truck empire. I usually swap trucks a lot, but I’ve grown attached to my current rig. I even customized it with a Christmas theme for the holiday season. Luckily, I didn’t play it as much this time around, but at least I got some reading done while driving.
  • Ace Attorney Trilogy: I started this game with my hubby. We just finished episode one, and it’s really fun. I totally get now why it’s such a beloved classic.
  • Core Keeper: My friend and I beat the last boss of the inner ring and finally took down the wall. We’re now in the forest biome, mostly exploring, gathering crimson ore, and decorating bases as we go.
  • Stardew Valley: I even got some time in on my simple SDV save. Which felt great since it’s been a while since I could comfortably play with keyboard and mouse. I’m currently dating Sebastian (Emo Mod), Sophie (SVE), Lance (SVE), and Flor (RSV). I broke up with Alex, Harvey, and Elliot because I like giving myself themed challenges. This save is red-themed, so I’m only selling red crops and only marrying characters with pink or ruby-colored hair (as long as they have Nyapu portraits). Lance is proving to be the hardest so far since I haven’t unlocked the Highlands yet.
  • Expedition 33: This was my Christmas present from my hubby, and wow… this game is stunning. It’s been on my wishlist forever, and when it went on sale, I wanted it so bad. Even though our wallets are still recovering from Black Friday, the purchase was worth it. The writing, art, music, and combat… everything is just amazing. It really feels like a love letter to turn-based RPGs, and I’m honestly amazed a small indie studio pulled it off. I can already tell this is going to be my new obsession for a while.

šŸ“–Reading: šŸ“–

  • Campfire Cooking: I’m still chewing through this series and am currently on book 11. I love the cozy cooking story and the orphanage arc, but I’ll admit the Goddess/God scenes are starting to feel very repetitive at this point. I kind of wish they’d just pass over those.
  • Witch Hat Atelier: I started rereading this manga series from the beginning after picking up the rest of the books on sale. The art and worldbuilding are just as gorgeous as I remembered, and I’m a total sucker for a well-defined magic system. Still early in book one, but I’m excited to keep going.
  • Mother of Learning: I’m also slowly working my way through this story and am partway through arc 3. The magic system and mystery are still fantastic, and Silverlake is… such a pain to negotiate with. The portable palace is so cool. I wish I could have one, minus the ā€˜God Touched’ Hydra.

šŸ“Writing: šŸ“

CYOA- The Offer: I managed to get a little done on my choose-your-own-adventure story. Choice B is outlined now, and I just need to grind out the first draft. I’m also thinking about trying dictation and transcription so I can write on days when my body isn’t cooperating. I haven’t tested it yet, but I might give this a try soon.

šŸ’–Life: šŸ’–

This week was another rough one. My disabilities were giving me a hard time, and I had one day where I couldn’t move at all. That being said, I did get two good days, and after a couple of really bad weeks, I’ll happily take that win. I managed to get a lot done during those days, and I can finally move my hands without pain, yay!

Ā

I’m also getting back into trading. I used to do it years ago, but burned out. Since my hubby’s getting into it, I figured I’d try again, very slowly, and paper-only for now. I might experiment with day trading, but realistically, I’m probably more of a swing trader. However, I’m just in the studying phase, so it will be a while until I even touch the charts.

Ā

I’ve started thinking about my New Year’s resolutions. I want to cut down on categories for 2026 and set more realistic goals overall.

Ā

The holidays are right around the corner, and I’m really looking forward to the break. Hope you’re all staying warm. Take care, and see you next week.
