⭐Weekly Update

🧺SDV Mods:🧺

I tried my best to make entries for the SDV 2026 Modfest. Now? I’m just going to let my mods cook. I’m exhausted and ready to go back to modding the things I love at a slower pace. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy making the contest mods… I just tend to push myself too hard and too fast during events like this. For now, I’m going back to working on whatever I feel like, whenever I feel like it. 😁

  • Colored Mounts: I’m planning to make a bunch of colorful mount mods to match some of the themes I have in my own SDV saves. I worked extremely hard reanimating the horse’s legs and hair, but I left the head untouched so players can still add hats without issues. After finishing colorful versions of the normal and ghost horses, I wanted to branch out and add different types of mounts. I’ve already added colored witches’ brooms. Now I’m debating if the next update will include unicorns or magical deer. I’ll have to see what I feel inspired to do. I also need to edit my mod so that it removes the in-game horse reins. There’s still a lot I want to do with this project, but I’ll probably pick it back up more seriously once I’m less burnt out.
  • Farmer Portrait Commission: This commission turned out really cute. I absolutely adore my client’s design. The most difficult part was definitely her hats, but in the end, I think the portrait came out beautifully.
  • Seasonal East Scarp: A couple of weeks ago, Nyapu posted a sneak peek of the new ES character portraits that will be coming soon. That motivated me to start up (and probably finish) seasonal portraits for the existing East Scarp characters. Drawberry138 has already created seasonal versions for the new characters, so once Nyapu releases their portraits, I’ll start on those. Drawberry138 also made SVE festival outfits, which I hope to get around to working on soon, too.

🎮Games🎮

  • Core Keeper: My friend and I finished all the current content in her world. With the hint at the end, I’m looking forward to the next update. Afterwards, we went back to our co-op save. I mostly spent my time decorating while my friend went exploring. It’s such a chill and fun game to play with friends.
  • SDV: I squeezed in some time to play on my simple save. Everything looks amazingly red with all the new contest mods and the ones I created myself. I finally gathered all the items needed to turn in the RSV quest. Now I just need to show up at the Ninja’s house for the ceremony. I’ve been romancing Lance, and my hubbies Tea and Seb are adorable. I really want to draw some fan art of them someday. Tea just asked if I wanted a baby… and I said yes. 😏
  • No Man’s Sky: This has been the game I play to relax in the mornings. I started a brand-new save, and I’ve been exploring all the content added since the last time I played (years ago). Everything looks fantastic, and I’m excited to discover the new mysteries they’ve added.
  • Planet Crafter: I played a few sessions with my sister this week. We’ve maxed out plants and are now working on insects and animals. While waiting for production and crafting materials, we’ve been diving into portals to hunt for rare resources. With all the extra materials we’ve gathered, I’ve been building some awesome structures. Our world is starting to look incredible.
  • Resident Evil Village: My husband and I finished the game! It was a really good one, and I can definitely see why it’s a fan favorite in the series. We saw a few of the endgame story reveals coming a mile away. (I mean, no one can take damage like the MC and still call themselves human.) But there were a few story twists that surprised us. Overall, it was a great mix of horror and action.

📖Reading📖

  • Mark of the Fool: I’m slowly working my way through Book 5. The big reveal about the dungeon cores and the secrets shared with the heroes was really intriguing. It also raises a lot of questions about what their god might be planning. There are still so many mysteries, and I can’t wait to see how everything unfolds. I definitely have my theories…
  • Kraken Rider Z: A friend suggested this one to me. The first part of the story was both adorable and heartbreaking. I feel terrible for what happened to the main character. I’ve been told the second half of the story and the later books get much better, so I’m pushing onward. Overall, it’s a unique and well-told story about a man and his kraken companion.
  • Demon World Boba Shop: This has been one of the coziest reads I’ve enjoyed in a while. It’s not a book for everyone, but if you’re looking for a heartwarming story with very little drama, it’s a great pick. I just finished the second book in the series. After the big expansion, I was worried the MC and his friends might end up separated, but thankfully, everything worked out in the end.

💬Life: 💬

Whew… I’m definitely feeling burnt out after working on all the contest mod art, coding, and formatting. I might update my mount mod here and there, but I’m probably done pushing hard on contest entries for a while. There are still a few days left, so I might squeeze in a small clothing or crafting mod idea… but my main focus now is getting back to the portrait mods I love working on.

I may also spend some time on smaller side projects that probably won’t win contest spots but are still fun for me (like my foliage mod and my colorful animal project).

Overall, though, it was a pretty good week. Good luck to everyone who entered the contest! And if you’d like to support my mods, downloads, and endorsements are always appreciated.

Take care, everyone. Until next time!
