✨Weekly Update✨
🧺 SDV Mods: 🧺
- Modfest 2026: Well, I didn’t win anything. (Heck, I didn’t even come close) But honestly? I still count it as a win since I love adding the mods I created into my own game, and that made it worth it. I’m also SUPER excited to check out all the amazing mods that were created for the event. There are so many incredible ones this year. Huge thanks to everyone who participated and worked so hard! I definitely need to get back to my mega-modded save so I can try them all out.
- Seasonal East Scarp: Slow but steady progress is being made. Rosa and Eyvinder are done, and Jessie is almost finished. (I just need to draw his spirit outfit.) This project is temporarily on pause while I complete a few commissions, but I’ll jump back into it as soon as those are done.
- Craftables & Furniture: In my spare time, I’ve been doodling up red-themed craftables and furniture for my current SDV game. I’m not going to lie, I think they turned out amazing. I especially love the lighting rods and egg hatchers. I’ve added gold and silver trim options, and I’ve also started making colorful, animated themed scarecrows. It’s kind of crazy how much pixel work I’ve been able to do on my phone. This project (and a few others) will slow down a bit until my commissions are finished.
- Foliage: Oak and Maple are DONE! Pine is almost there…. I just need to finish the snowy winter version. Turns out, pixel snow is way harder than it looks. I’ve redone it so many times trying to get it right, even using real-life references. I’m focusing on trees for vanilla, SVE, RSV, ES, and Cornucopia first, then I’ll move on to other plants and bushes.
- Commissions: I had two commissions this week! The first was a pair of custom shadow NPCs. They were a super cute shadow child and a shadow shaman. I LOVE how they turned out (the little one with the bow is my favorite). I can’t wait to see them in-game when the mod releases. The second is a custom farmer portrait. We finalized details later in the week, so progress just started… but I’ve completed the character’s emotional bases and moved on to hair. I’ll show some WIP on this next time.
🎮 Games: 🎮
- Stardew Valley: I played a bit on my simple save this week, and it’s been so fun seeing my red-themed assets come together in-game. My farm is looking better every time I log in. I’m working through the RSV color item quest. Finished some easier crystals, but now I’m working on the purple, orange, blue, and green. Progress is slow (I don’t use many cheats), but it’s super satisfying that way. Sadly, my Mega-modded save is still on hold for now.
- Silent Hill 2: My hubby and I finished the apartments and moved on to the hospital (my least favorite out of all the areas). We’re now in nightmare mode… and wow, it’s so scary. Also, those nurses are no joke.
- Planet Crafter: I’ve been playing this with my sister and loving every minute. I shared some of my base-building design screenshots on my Steam (@AhCuteArt if you want to check it out!). We’re getting close to finishing the game, and with her schedule changing soon, this might be our last playthrough for a while. But it’s been such a great experience together.
- Core Keeper: Not much to report here. Just more cozy co-op fun. I’ve been decorating nonstop while my friend handles most of the exploring and collecting. (She’s the best.) I genuinely love this game.
- No Man’s Sky: I found a stunning area between two points of interest. They had a donut-shaped cave between them, and I knew I just HAD to build a base there. I started my mega base build and have only managed the foundation. Progress is slow since I need so many resources. However, when I am out of materials, I’ve been mixing in the main quests, with collection grinding along the way. Not a fan of the “hunt animals” quests, but I did enjoy the photography ones.
- Hades 2: I. Beat. The. Sirens. Again. I am getting the hang of their boss battle. Now I’m stuck on Cerberus. I hate seeing him as a boss. I love that three-headed pup and really hope there’s a way to help him. As always, the game is brutal, but the upgrades and trinkets are a great help.
📖 Reading: 📖
Alice in Wonderland / Through the Looking-Glass: I rushed these for book club… and yeah, my opinion hasn’t changed. I know they’re classics, but they just aren’t for me. They feel chaotic and confusing the whole way through. Still, I’m glad I finally finished them.
💖 Life: 💖
Life has been busy but really good. I had a lot of energy this week and got so much done, from modding progress to spending time gaming with friends and family. I’ve also started studying trading again and working out more. Now I just need to squeeze in some writing time, and I’ll be set!
I’m also hoping to read more soon. Especially now that I finally replaced my broken headphones (RIP 😔). I went with a Skullcandy headset this time. It’s simpler than my old Sony ones, but honestly? I’m happy with them (the bass is awesome).
Overall, it’s been an amazing week, and I’m hoping to carry this momentum forward.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work. til next time!💖
