Weekly Update

🧺 SDV Mods: 🧺

  • Drawberry ESR: My main focus this week was finishing the portraits for this mod. It will take some time for Drawberry to update her mod, so in the meantime, I added the manual replacement to my Extra Assets mod (with Drawberry’s permission, of course). Some of the designs were really challenging to draw, especially when I had to completely restyle a character’s hair, but overall I think they turned out great. I’ll probably wait about a week before I start working on Drawberry’s other mods. Also, a heads-up for anyone who follows my blog… once I finish the major projects for Drawberry’s ES and SVE mods, I’ll probably put up a vote for the next three projects I’ll focus on. If you’d like to participate, check out my Priority Mod To-Do List on my Nexus profile so you can see what I plan to work on next.

🎮 Games: 🎮

  • Diablo IV: I’ve been grinding levels and gear for this season’s Pyromancer. I managed to get her comfortably into Torment I with Paragon Level 93. I have a full set of legendary gear, along with a few uniques. I unlocked the Season VI rewards, but I’m having a hard time getting strong enough for Torment II, so I haven’t been able to unlock any of the higher-tier rewards yet. With only a few days left in the season, I might not make it, but that’s okay. I’ve mostly been playing Diablo while listening to the book club books that I need to finish.
  • Hogwarts Legacy: Since I’m rereading the Harry Potter series, I figured it was finally time to play this game. Progress has been a little slow because I’ve been busy with other things, but wow… exploring Hogwarts really feels like one of my childhood dreams coming true. I chose Hufflepuff. It’s always been my favorite house. My personality probably fits Ravenclaw or even Slytherin a little better, but I love what Hufflepuff stands for. The developers did an amazing job with this game, even if I’ve run into a few visual bugs here and there. And I just found out they added mod support! I’m really excited to see what the community creates. Part of me wants to jump in and start making mods… but my Stardew Valley mod list is already a mile long, so I’m trying very hard not to add another pile of projects.
  • American Truck Simulator: I spent some time driving around Nebraska this week. I also noticed a few DLCs went on sale during Steam’s Summer Sale. I’m waiting until they hit 50% off before I pick up the remaining states.
  • Mega-Modded Stardew Valley: I only played a couple of in-game days this time around. I am trying to build a ton of chests for all the items I want to organize. I also bought the recipe for Big Chests, unlocked my fridge, and now I’m just trying to get the materials to unlock cooking in my kitchen. I wanted to spend more time playing Stardew this week, but I haven’t had many opportunities to sit down and completely focus on this game.

📖 Reading: 📖

  • Harry Potter: The sci-fi/fantasy book club I recently joined meets every couple of months to discuss larger books or entire series. This round we’re reading Harry Potter, so I’ve been frantically trying to finish the library copies before they’re due to be returned. I just finished Book 1, and I’m about halfway through Book 2. Even though the series is aimed at younger readers, it’s still a charming read. The world-building is stunning, and it’s already given me some inspiration for ideas for my own stories.
  • Reincarnated Countess Is Trying to Escape From Her Prince: I originally read the fan translation of this two-volume manga a while back and enjoyed it enough that I decided to buy the official release. It’s basically a girl-oriented isekai comfort read, but I really liked the premise and artwork. The ending felt a little rushed, but with so many never-ending series these days, I appreciate finding one that’s short and complete.

🎨 Art: 🎨

  • SDV Fanart Comic: I finished sketching my one-page comic! It’s going to feature all of the men I plan to marry in my simple red-themed Stardew save. Right now, I’m slowly working through the line art and flats. I’ll probably post a work-in-progress preview next week…maybe. The whole reason I started making these one-page comics was to get back into creating comics in general after taking a break for a few years. I’m having a ton of fun with it, and I’m excited to share the finished page once it’s done.

💬 Life: 💬

Overall, this was a really good week for me. I stayed incredibly busy, but I managed to get a lot done. I’m going to try splitting my free time between Stardew Valley modding and comic creation. I’m pretty exhausted, to be honest. I’m trying to pace myself to avoid burning out again.

I’m also in the middle of moving my website to a new host, so this will be the last weekend I post updates on www.ahcreativehub.com until I’ve finished migrating everything from HostGator to Hostinger. Wish me luck. I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing, so I’m learning as I go.

For everyone who follows my Stardew Valley mods and my blog… what three Nyapu projects would you most like to see me work on next? I’m giving active followers the chance to help influence my next big projects early, before the voting. I can’t promise I’ll pick every suggestion, but your feedback will definitely help inspire what I work on next.

Until next time, everyone. Take care!
